NSC built similar cars for the Canadian Pacific Railway. In the 1970s and early 1980s they were repainted in either BCR light green or dark green with the Dogwood logo. After 1985 all were painted dark green and got the new BC RAIL logos. Some of the brown and black ones had the PGE painted out in lieu of BCOL markings. They are used to transport hydro power poles or raw logs to saw mills, and are sometimes interchanged with other railways. They have been seen in the Portland Oregon area (BNSF, UP). On the Takla loggers (last log trains in North America) one can see whole trains with these cars. After May 1993 BC Rail used train end devices on their through freight trains south of Prince George. Cabooses were still used north of P.G. until the end. Last caboose trains were the Takla Loggers and the Fort St. John to Fort Nelson turn. Some Cabooses did not survive, being scrapped after accidents or sold to private individuals, however some are still in service today, CN uses one as a crew transporter.

3D Central Link

HO Scale

ACIS Number Series (1401 - 1490)
Built 1974 and in service from October 1974 to 2001)
Manufacturer: National Steel Car

Includes:
One Piece Body
Weight
Styrene Floor
Etched Carbody Details including Ladders & Net Hooks
Under Body Details

Paint:
Vallejo Air ACIS Paint Code Suggestion (main Body):
2 Parts 71.095
1 Part 71.317
1 Part 71.050

'A' End:
Medium Yellow 71.002

Interior:
Tamiya Red Oxide

 Decals:
https://www.pdc.ca/rr/catalog/product/ho-scale-algoma-central-decals/54

Kaslo Shops Distributing kits come undecorated and require the modeler to supply trucks, couplers, paint and decals.

HO Scale

CN Number Series 880200-880314 & 880600-880724
Built 1969 and in service from October 1970 to 2016
Manufacturer: National Steel Car

Includes:
One Piece Body
Weight
Styrene Floor
Etched Carbody Details including Ladders
Under Body Details
Extra Extension Supports

Kaslo Shops Distributing kits come undecorated and require the modeler to supply trucks, couplers, paint and decals.

In 1979, Evans Railcar Company sold 200 double door box cars to British Columbia Railway.
