HK-42 - BCRAIL Railwest 52'8" Center Beam Flatcar
In 1988, the BCR embarked on a refurbishment program at its Squamish Shops, aiming to transform it's existing bulkhead flatcars into a distinctive localized version of the center-beam car. The outcome of this initiative was a series of dark green painted cars with white 'BC Rail' lettering and the destictove center posts.

Canadian Pacific acquired 30 of these cars in Dec 2005 (ex BCOL 52303-52454 series, exx BCOL 17778-18538 series). CP placed the cars in the 316650-316679 series. Retirement dates: first car was retired 7/07, last car in 9/10.
